Andrew “Andy” Zalme

April 17, 2015 By LODD Team

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we write this notification of a Line of Duty Death in Dakota City Fire Department. Volunteer Firefighter Andy Zalme died last night at the scene of a car fire after suffering a heart attack. Andy, 42 years old, left behind his wife and three young boys. The LODD team is in Dakota City assisting the fire department with funeral arrangements. Please keep Andy, his family and the fire department in your thoughts and prayers. Visitation will be Monday, April 20th from 3 – 7 pm at the Dakota City Fire Station. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 21 at 10 am at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City. We will be putting out a request for CASKET VIGIL tomorrow when we have more information. Please watch our Facebook page for additional information. Rest in Peace FF Zalme
